Health
We acknowledge that health may be a concern when a Tile is in the pocket of a child’s (or anyone’s) jacket. The National Institutes of Health has formally studied the health effects of Bluetooth technology on people. We, however, have not conducted any independent studies on people.
Safety
Your Tile uses Bluetooth to establish a connection with your device to reliably track your items. This means that if your Tile is within Bluetooth range of your mobile device, you can ring your Tile using the app.
Outside a range of 100-400 feet (depending on which Tile you have), your Tile does not provide live-tracking updates as a GPS device does. Tile can keep track of moving objects, but your family members' safety is top of mind. For this reason, Tile is not recommended for keeping track of children or people, but is best utilized to locate objects such as a child's jacket.
