Health
We acknowledge that health may be a concern when a Tile is in the pocket of a child’s (or anyone’s) jacket. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences has formally studied the health effects of Bluetooth technology on people. We, however, have not conducted any independent studies on people.
Safety
Your Tile uses Bluetooth technology to make a connection with the Tile app on your device. This means that if your Tile is within Bluetooth range of your mobile device, you can ring your Tile using the app.
Outside a range of 100-400 feet, your Tile does not provide real-time tracking updates as a GPS device. Your family members' safety is top of mind. For this reason, Tile is not recommended for keeping track of children or people but is best utilized to locate objects such as a child's jacket, lunchbox, or backpack.
