Water-resistance
Every Tile in the new lineup is water-resistant and can withstand splashes and even a 3ft/1m plunge into the water for up to 30 minutes. However, these Tiles are not meant for underwater use.
*Water-resistance ratings come from International Protection Standards.
Some new models have a QR code on the back
The 2022 Tile lineup - Pro, Mate, and Slim - has a QR code printed on the back that can be scanned when someone finds your lost Tile. When you enable the Notify When Found feature, you will be given the option to enter your contact information and coordinate the return of your Tile.
Difference between replaceable and built-in batteries
A Tile with a replaceable battery has a battery door that can be manually opened and closed to change the battery. Replaceable batteries last up to a year, and can be replaced with any compatible coin cell battery.
A Tile with a non-replaceable battery does not have a battery door. The battery is installed and sealed within the Tile and can not be accessed or changed. Built-in batteries last up to 3 years, depending on the Tile model.
Warranty for the new Tile models
All Tile models come with our standard 1-year manufacturer’s warranty depending on location. Tile Premium and Premium Protect subscribers also get a worry-free warranty which includes defects or accidental damage.

Temperature Range for Tile
Tiles operate best within the temperature range of -10°C to 60°C. (14°F to 140°F). Exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures could affect their performance.
