For Tiles with a replaceable battery, the battery will work for up to a year. You can replace the battery yourself with a compatible coin cell battery. 

Why some Tiles have non-replaceable batteries

Non-replaceable batteries provide a sealed design that gives Tiles like Sticker and Slim longer battery life.

Note: You cannot replace batteries on these Tiles.

Activate your Tile immediately

We recommend activating your Tiles as soon as you receive them to get their maximum benefits. If a Tile has not been activated in over a year, we cannot guarantee that the battery will last up to its expected lifespan.

Determine if your Tile is Activated or Not Activated 

• A new Tile that is not activated plays a tune when you press the Tile button once.
  • • Only on an unactivated Tile: If the Tile button is pressed once and there is no sound it could mean a dead battery.
• An activated Tile plays a tune when you double-press the Tile button.
