Jiobit's patented Progressive Beaconing Technology switches between GPS, Bluetooth, Cellular, and Wi-Fi to make sure you can stay connected when you’re on the go.
However, having good cellular reception and attaching the Jiobit in a way so it can receive optimal cell signals will encourage better accuracy. Even though the Jiobit relies heavily on GPS, both the device and your phone need a cellular or WiFi connection in order to send and receive the Jiobit’s tracking information.
Keep in mind that although your phone may have an excellent signal does not mean the Jiobit will have the same signal. This is because Jiobit devices use a lower power antenna to minimize battery drain.
Something to note: When the Jiobit is receiving poor cell reception, due to environmental factors or external damage (SeeJiobit Connection Interference), the Jiobit battery will drain faster due to the increased work to send a location update.
