How Life360 works with Tile
Link your accounts to see your Tile’s last known location on the Life360 map. You can find and manage your Tiles within Life360.
Link your Tile Account to your Life360 Account
- Open or download the Life360 app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Select the Circle you want to add Tiles to.
- Scroll down to and select Add an Item.
- Select Add your Tiles.
- If you have a Tile account, select Yup, link my Tile account, or select Not Yet to download the Tile app and create an account.
- Login to Tile. Note: Facebook login is only available on Android.
- On the Success screen in the Life360 app, tap the arrows to view Tile functions.
- On the Enable Bluetooth screen in the welcome flow, tap Enable Bluetooth.
- Tap Ok on the pop up notification.
- Tiles will now appear on the Life360 map.
Share linked Tiles with additional Circles
- Select the Circle you want to add Tiles to.
- Scroll down to and select Add an Item.
- Select Share your Tiles.
Repeat for each Circle you want to share Tiles with.
Note: It may take up to 15 minutes for your Tiles to appear on your Life360 map.
Circle members will be able to see activated Tiles on the map and under Items in the Life360 app. Once new Tiles are activated, they will automatically show up in Life360 for all Circle members.
Note: Circle members will only be able to see the Tiles, they will not be able to ring them unless they are shared.
Find your Tile in the Life360 app
- In the Life360 app, scroll down to and select the Tiled item you want to ring.
- Tap Find to open the Tile in the Tile app.
- Tap Find to ring your Tile.
Edit Tile Name and Photo in the Life360 app
- In the life360 app, scroll down to and select the Tiled item you want to edit.
- Tap Edit Name and Photo to open the Tile in the Tile app.
- Edit the Tile Name and Photo.
Share a Tile from within the Life360 app
By default, your Circle members will not be able to see and find your Tiles in the Tile app even though they show in the Life360 app. To enable this function, you will have to share your Tiles with your Circle members in the Tile app.
- In the life360 app, scroll down to and select the Tiled item you want to share.
- Tap Share to open the Tile in the Tile app.
- Share the Tile.
Disconnect your Tile account from Life360 Circles
- In the Life360 app, tap Settings at the top left.
- Tap Tiles.
- Tap Unlink Tiles.
- Select Unlink Tile Account to confirm.
Repeat for each Circle you want to disconnect.

Common Questions
Do I need a paid subscription to use my Tiles in Life360?
No. If you already have Tiles you can connect your accounts and see them in the Life360 app.
What is the Tile finding network?
All Tiles emit a secure Bluetooth signal, so when a phone with the Life360 or Tile app passes by your item, you’ll get a location update as part of the Tile Network — automatically and anonymously.
