Your Tile’s location is updated using the Bluetooth connection between your Tile and your device running the app.
If your app is not displaying the right location of your Tile on the map, you can try the following:
- Update your mobile device's operating system and the Tile app to the most current version.
- Android and iOS: Check if Location Services are toggled On for both your mobile device and the Tile app:
- For iOS devices, the Tile App needs to be running in the background.
- Ensure you have a secure network connection through WiFi or cellular data.
- Sometimes, the address is a little off due to your device’s cellular network connection. It can also be impacted by environmental factors such as cloud cover, trees, buildings, and other structures.
- Ensure that your device’s battery-saver setting is set to Off to ensure that your device is showing the most up-to-date and current locations of your Tiles.
- If the steps above do not improve location reporting, sign out and then sign back into your account.
Note: When traveling in mainland China your Tiles may be in a different location than they are. This is not a problem with your phone or the Tile app. This is an intentional shift made by the Chinese government.
