Add a Tile to your account
To ensure successful Tile activation, complete the following steps.
- If you haven’t already, download the Tile app and create a Tile account.
- Check the following on your mobile device:
- (For existing Tile members) The latest version of the Tile app is downloaded.
- (iOS) The Tile app is open and running in the background.
- There is a working WiFi or cellular connection on your device.
- The permission settings are set to On or Enable.
- In the Tile app, tap the + sign at the top left corner of the screen
- Alternatively, Tap “Activate a Device” in the Tile card view.
- Alternatively, Tap “Activate a Device” in the Tile card view.
- Tap on Tile Devices to activate a Tile.
- For Tile partner products, select the product you want to activate under Tile Enabled Devices and follow the prompts.
- For Tile Lost and Found Labels, follow these steps.
- Press the button on the Tile once. The Tile should play a tune.
For Sticker 2022, the button is on the side of the Tile.
- Keep the Tile close to your device and Tap on Next. Wait 10 seconds for the connection to complete.
- The app displays the message “Activating Tile” and rings the Tile.
- After a successful activation, the app displays the message “Great! Tile is now activated.”
- Tap on Next.
- Select a Category for your Tiled item.
- Tap on Find to ring your Tile.
- Tap on Done to stop the ring.
- Follow the prompts when asked to “Try Finding your Phone.”
- Tap on Skip if you do not wish to ring your phone.
- Follow the prompts when asked to sign up for Premium or Premium Protect.
- Tap on Skip if you do not wish to sign up.
Find your mobile device
If your smartphone or tablet is within Bluetooth range, pressing the Tile button twice in quick succession on any of your activated Tiles will ring your device even if it's in silent mode.
