When you can't find your Tile on the map in the Tile app, you can enable the Notify When Found feature to utilize the Tile Network.

When someone running the Tile app comes within range of your Tile, that Tile’s location is automatically and anonymously updated. You will immediately receive an email and an in-app notification showing where your Tile is located.

Turn on the Notify When Found feature

1. In the Tile app, Select the Tile that you want to locate.
2. Tap the Notify When Found button.
3. Tap the Done button.

If you have a 2022 Tile that has a QR code on the back, you will be given the option to add contact information when Notify When Found is enabled.

Turn off the Notify When Found feature

1. In the Tile app, select the Tile.
2. Tap the Notify When Found is On button.
3. Tap the Turn Off Notify When Found button.
4. Tap the Done button.

Beginning with Apple iOS 15, if you happen to be using a Focus mode, you need to check your device's Focus mode settings:

1. On the iOS device home screen, tap Settings.
2. Scroll down to and select Focus.
3. If any of the Focus modes (Do Not Disturb, Work, Personal, and Sleep) show “Set Up”, that means Focus mode is not set up yet and there is no need for you to do anything for that mode.
4. If a Focus mode is already set up, and you would like to add Tile as an Allowed App:
1. Tap the Focus mode that is already set up.
2. Under Allowed Notifications, tap Apps.
3. Tap Add App.
4. Scroll down to and select the Tile app.
5. Tap Done.
6. Force close the Tile app from the recent apps page and relaunch it so the changes take effect.
5. You will receive push notifications even if the Tile App is not allowed, you can just open the group notifications.

Not Receiving Notification Updates

When you turn on Notify When Found, you will receive one notification alert per instance. 

Your app will still continue to update your Tile’s location in the event that someone from the Tile Network comes within range of your Tile.

If you are no longer receiving Notify When Found notifications,” turn off Notify When Found and turn it back on to receive another notification alert.
