The battery in Tiles with a replaceable battery will last up to a year. You can replace the battery yourself with a compatible coin cell battery. 

Why some Tiles have non-replaceable batteries

Non-replaceable batteries provide a sealed design that gives Tiles like Sticker and Slim longer battery life.

Activate your Tile

We recommend activating your Tiles as soon as you receive them to get their maximum benefits. If a Tile has not been activated in over a year, we cannot guarantee that the battery will last up to its expected lifespan.

Determine if your Tile is Activated or Not Activated 

• A new Tile that is not activated plays a tune when you press the Tile button once.
  • Only on an unactivated Tile: If the Tile button is pressed once and there is no sound it could mean the battery is dead.
• An activated Tile plays a tune when you double-press the Tile button.

Note: For 2024 Tile models connected to the Life360 app, ensure that the Press Action is not set to Discreet SOS Alert, which prevents the Tile from playing a tune when double-pressed.
