Trusted Places are our solution to the fast-draining effects of step-by-step location streaming. They give the Jiobit a “home base” to save energy while the Jiobit wearer is close. To maximize battery life and give you the most useful notifications, the Jiobit does not offer live tracking mode while the device is safely within the Trusted Place.
When the Jiobit is found inside of the designated Trusted Place boundary, it will not allow the Jiobit to switch into a tracking status. This can result in it appearing like your Jiobit is not tracking when outside the Trusted Place. We recommend reducing the size of the Trusted Place boundary to better fit the property lines. This will ensure that your Jiobit switches into a tracking status and sends out location updates.
If you have lost the Jiobit within a Trusted Place, we recommend the Ring Jiobit feature. As long as your Jiobit is within Bluetooth range, “ringing” the Jiobit will force it to chirp and illuminate a red flashing light.
To ring your Jiobit:
- Turn on your phone’s Bluetooth
- If your Bluetooth is already on but not connecting, try toggling it on/off or rebooting your phone
- **Jiobit must be within 30 ft of your cell phone to establish a connection
- **Jiobit can only connect to one cell phone in the care team at a time
Once you connect, click the Ring Jiobit icon; the Jiobit will start to chirp and illuminate a red flashing light.
