Whether you secure the Jiobit device to a waistband or your pet’s collar, there are a few attachment recommendations that will improve battery life and improve location accuracy: 

1. Position the grey side of the Jiobit outwards and clear of obstructions (we do NOT recommend attaching to a backpack, shoes, or to a collar where it can fall under a pet’s neck)
2. Try a different placement or attachment method if your child or pet experiences quick battery drain or delayed notifications
3. Keep away from metal objects like dog tags or belt buckles 
4. Avoid keeping the Jiobit in a cubby or locker throughout the day to maintain battery life

There are a variety of attachments available to secure your Jiobit device to clothing, collars and harnesses, belt loops, pockets, and even buttonholes.
