So you’ve pressed the green “Find” button in the app to locate your Tile, but you just can’t pinpoint where it’s at! Sometimes, Tiled items can be hiding under piles of clothes, under couch cushions, and so many other hard to see or hear places. So how do you locate your Tile? Use the Tile’s Proximity meter!
A New and Improved Proximity Meter with Volume Control:
Our Proximity meter within the Tile app underwent a major makeover! It’s more convenient and reliable than ever to get you close enough to your Tile to hear it ringing. You’ll now also be able to change the volume of your Tile’s ring!
The new Proximity Meter is easy to use!
Simply tap on the desired Tile from your list of Tiles and press the Tile icon.
The ring around your Tile will turn into the new and improved Proximity Meter. The rings will begin to light up gradually as you get closer, or will fade as you get farther away from your Tile.
Using Volume Control
By default, pressing on the Tile icon to use the new Proximity Meter will begin to silently ring your Tile so that you can use the Proximity Meter to find your Tile, without sound.
This is most helpful in instances where you want to find your Tile without disturbing those around you with Tile’s ringtone, such as at night when the rest of your family is sleeping!
But for those times when you need Tile’s ringtone to be on full blast, you can now change the volume to make Tile as loud as possible when finding your items.
