How to Turn Location On or Off with your phone or tablet.

Disable or Enable Location Services for an iOS Device.

Location services must be turned on for the Tile app in order for your Tiles to report an up-to-date and accurate location of when it was last connected to your iPhone or iPad.

Listed below are the steps for turning your iOS device's location services on and off.

iOS Location settings:

  1. Tap on "Settings" (for your phone)
  2. Next, tap on "Privacy"
  3. Tap on "Location Services" then tap on the toggle bar next to "Location Services" so that the color is changed from grey/white to green or blue.
  4. Under this toggle, you will see a list of apps which are allowed to use Location Services on your phone, please make sure the Tile app is allowed to use it.
  5. Exit your settings.
  6. Now your Tiles should update their locations correctly and accurately.

Location services must be turned on for the Tile app in order for your Tiles to report an up-to-date and accurate location of when it was last connected to your Android phone or tablet.

Listed below are the steps for turning your Android device's location services on and off. 
(Note: Each Android device may vary -- like Samsung vs Nexus -- so if you're unable to find your Location Services settings, please see your phone's manual or support site.)

  1. From your home screen, enter your Settings menu.
  2. Scroll down to the “Personal” section.
  3. Tap on “Location services” or “Location access” – whichever your phone shows.
  4. From this screen, you can toggle on or off any of the location services your phone offers. (Please make sure if you are able to set the "Mode" or Location services to be "High Accuracy")
  5. Exit your settings.
  6. Your phone or tablet should now be updating your Tiles most up-to-date last known locations!
