QALO TraQ is a non-toxic, jingle-free, trackable dog ID tag that is lightweight, durable, waterproof, and can be be personalized. It now has Tile’s Bluetooth technology built-in, so you can use the Tile app to find your QALO TraQ nearby or far away using Tile’s Network.
How Tile works with QALO ID tag
Tile finding technology is built into your QALO TraQ device. Once activated, it works like a Tile would:
- Ring your QALO TraQ ID tag
- View your QALO TraQ ID Tag's last known location on a map
- Use the Tile Detector
- Enlist the power of the Tile Network
- Share your Tile
Your QALO TraQ utilizes Tile’s Bluetooth tracking technology to ring your dog ID tag if it's nearby or see the location of where your dog ID tag was last seen, all within the Tile app on your mobile device. The QALO TraQ has up to a 200-foot Bluetooth range.
Activate your QALO TraQ ID tag
- Download the Tile app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Create and confirm your account.
- Open the Tile app.
- Tap the + sign at the upper left corner of the screen.
- Under Activate a Tile Enabled Device, select QALO.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
If you already have a Tile account, just follow steps 3, 4, 5, and 6 to activate your QALO TraQ ID tag.
Required settings on your mobile device
The following settings ensure that QALO TraQ works properly with your Tile app:
- Bluetooth set to On
- Location services set to On and Always permission granted to the Tile app
- For iOS, the Tile app must be open and running in the background

Check QALO TraQ's last location
When your QALO TraQ is not in range, or not communicating with your mobile device, the map on your Tile app keeps a record of the last time and place your QALO TraQ and device were connected.

QALO TraQ has a non-replaceable battery that lasts up to two years, so you can relax knowing that you won’t have to charge your TraQ when you need it the most.

QALO TraQ’s trackable dog ID tags are available exclusively on QALO.com for $49.95, including customization.
Can I use my computer to keep track of my QALO TraQ through Tile?
At this time, the application is only designed to run on mobile devices, as the Tile Network relies on proximity to a device in order to locate a missing item.
Can I use the Tile app on any phone or device to track my QALO TraQ?
Tile is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. Phones with Windows OS are explicitly not supported by Tile.
Is the QALO TraQ ID tag waterproof?
Yes, QALO TraQ is waterproof up to 1 meter for up to one hour.
Can the tags be engraved?
QALO offers engraving on all jingle-free dog ID tags bought through the QALO website.
Does QALO TraQ work with cats?
QALO TraQ works with cats as well as dogs - it’s as light and as small as possible so it can be worn by the broadest range of pets.
Are the tags eco-friendly?
Yes, all QALO dog ID tags use recyclable silicone and non-toxic materials. However, even though QALO silicone is 100% recyclable. We have partnered with TerraCycle to create a free program where customers can send any silicone dog ID to us and we’ll recycle it, including the battery.
Do QALO x TILE dog ID tags emit radiation or pose any threat to my dog’s health?
Not only is QALO TraQ radiation-free, it is also lightweight, and non-toxic, for your dog’s wellbeing and your peace of mind.
Do I still need a QALO TraQ ID tag if my dog is microchipped?
We still recommend microchipping your dog as an additional line of defense against losing them.
What if my dog with an ID tag gets lost and is outside Bluetooth range?
You can also enlist the secure help of the Tile Network to help you find your things. Just tap Notify when Found and every mobile device running the Tile app within Bluetooth range of your Tile will send location updates to your Tile app anonymously, letting you know where it is. This feature works 100% anonymously and automatically to protect your privacy.
What happens if my dog gets lost in the wilderness?
QALO TraQ works best for populated areas where people are likely to have Bluetooth devices. The finding experience may differ in the wilderness or environments without other Bluetooth devices nearby.
Who is responsible if a dog gets lost and Tile can’t find it?
Tile is committed to providing an excellent finding experience and delivering peace of mind to you. However, we can't guarantee that all pets will be findable under all circumstances and in all locations. Accordingly, pet owners are ultimately responsible for their pets, including if they cannot be found using QALO TraQ or the Tile app.
